Principia College Chooses Award-winning Writer and Broadcast Journalist William Moller as First Participant in Annenberg Visiting Scholars Program
Elsah, Illinois (PRWEB) August 13, 2007 -- Principia College has chosen William G. Moller as the first distinguished thought leader to participate in the Visiting Scholars Program under the auspices of the Leonore Annenberg Center for Educational Innovation, which has been made possible by a $1 million grant from The Annenberg Foundation. Mr. Moller will teach two Mass Communication courses in each of the winter and spring quarters of 2008.
Bill Moller is a multiple award-winning writer and broadcast journalist, communications consultant, public speaker and community leader. He currently hosts "The Money Show with Bill Moller" on Chicago's # 1 radio station, WGN 720 AM. He has won several Emmys, Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists awards as host, anchor and reporter for the all-news cable channel Chicagoland Television News (CLTV). Prior experience includes hosting programs for the broadcast division of The Christian Science Monitor and several midsize media market television stations. Bill has been an Adjunct Professor in the Journalism Department of Columbia College in Chicago. His B.A. degree in Journalism and Telecommunications is from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.
The Principia, a private, independent school and four-year liberal arts college for Christian Scientists, was founded in 1898. The College is a 2,600-acre National Historic Landmark campus situated on high bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. The entire school emphasizes character education -- developing the whole person intellectually, physically, socially, morally, and spiritually -- in all aspects of its curriculum. Students attending Principia come from 40 U.S. states and 21 countries.
