Sterling College Partners with EducationDynamics to Develop Interactive Website to Improve Enrollment Yield and Communication with Prospective Student

Hoboken, NJ (PRWEB) April 9, 2008 --The Enrollment and Retention Services Division of EducationDynamics recently partnered with Sterling College to create an advanced web-based platform to improve communication with prospective students and cultivate higher enrollment levels. This interactive website (http://www.sterling.edu) is designed to mirror the proven effects of EducationDynamics' enrollment and retention products that are currently in place at Sterling College, and meet the needs of an increasingly tech-savvy generation of learners at the school's entry point--its website.

"Today's youth are connected electronically with the proliferation of Facebook, MySpace and other social networking sites--they live online," explains Dennis Dutton, vice president of enrollment and marketing at Sterling College. "As a result, more and more students are applying to college online, it is crucial we reach out to them in their preferred medium and put a fresh face on Sterling College's antiquated site. EducationDynamics' Enrollment & Retention Services Division was the obvious choice to achieve this end due to their success in developing our recruitment and retention microsites, along with our desire to maintain uniformity in our online efforts."

The new site was generated based on extensive research conducted by EducationDynamics on Sterling College's various constituencies, including students--current and prospective--family, alumni, faculty and staff. Preferences and expectations of these groups were thoroughly investigated and the collected input served as the foundation of the site's re-design. Overwhelmingly, the research revealed a desire for incorporation of additional video and easier, more straightforward site navigation.

"Overall, the site was designed with the 17-year-old in mind, a group that has displayed a tremendous preference for emerging Web 2.0 technologies," says Peter Tomassi, vice president of product development at EducationDynamics' Enrollment & Retention Services Division. "We integrated those features to accommodate the student audience, offering appealing and relevant information for their unique age group to get them excited about Sterling College. While the new site possesses enhanced prospecting capabilities for future students, it is also cognizant of the needs of current students, alumni and the community."
